Maggie was born January 25, 1998. She was shown at the 1999 National Specialty in Winter Park, Colorado by her co-owner Neil Mcdevitt. She took third in the large Bred-by-exhibitor class under breeder judge Stacy Davis. Way to go Maggie & Neil! Maggie easily finished her ASFA Field Championship and has earned her AKC Master Courser. She finished her AKC DC (Dual-Champion) 2003. She won her stake at the National RRCUS Lure trial in Kennewick, Wa Sept 2001 for a 5pt Major! I don't know what she loves more food or lure coursing. Getting her to not cheat is the hardest part. A smart dog is not always a blessing when it comes to being scored at a lure trial! Maggie finished her conformation Championship in August 2001 at the WWHA specialty. All of Maggies points were earned while being owner handled. Maggie has OFA normal thyroid, OFA/GDC excellent hips, OFA/GDC normal elbows, OFA normal patellas, OFA/GDC normal cardiac, GDC/BAER normal hearing, GDC/CERF normal eyes.. Maggie has better than typical Rhodesian Ridgeback temperament. She is laid back and doesn't hardly ever bark unless something is a miss. She is rather lazy unless I go out with her to play or she is coursing. She has beatiful movement, unless it is cold out (then she hates to show). She loves warm outdoor shows. I insist on showing her myself accept on the few occasions Neil has been so gracious to show her for me(he does a fine job). For her first litter Maggie was bred to Ch Starlands Sweet Baby James"Red", and whelped a beautiful litter of 8 puppies May 18th, 2002. For Maggie's second litter, she was bred to my boy BIS BISS BIF CH Camelot's Promise To Bakari SC HIC "Ruger", and once again whelped a beautiful litter of 8 puppies July 4th, 2003. Maggie's third and last litter was to American, Canadian, Finnish Champion Ikimba Tumomak Sheikh, ROM CGC TDI ET TT "Sheikh" This gave us a lovely litter of 6 puppies on July 17th 2006 and produced our amazing Kayta! Kayta has carried on in her mothers footprints and surpased all our hopes and dreams as a show/performance dog and brood bitch. Kayta's kids are now having a great time in the ring and on the field.
